Let me start with.. I'm from TEXAS. The food here was beyond amazing and very seasoned. The staff was astounding, as well. Met Edgar, the half owner and Rick their friend who works with them. We LOVED them. Bringing back to the food, birria tacos (with consume), the burrito El Luchador, molcajate Los Compadres (ALL OF OUR FAVORITE!!!), and carne asada tacos, we're absolutely SO GREAT!!!! I'll be back with my next visit to Virginia! Ending the night with karaoke.

This was our first time eating at this quaint and cute restaurant. I had a strawberry margarita and it had a very good flavor but not enough buzz. The small was also the size of a mason jar so I expected a little buzz. I had the chicken enchiladas. They were super tasty. However, the chicken was just a tad spicy. I'm not a spicy fan, so I brought it home so my sons can eat it later. I really wish that weren't the case, as I was looking forward to the dish. I did eat most of the rice and it was good. I also included pics of the other dishes at the table: burritos and tacos. Everyone really enjoyed their food. 4 STARS! Needed more buzz in the margarita and I really didn't savor my dish because it was a tad too spicy for me. I definitely would go back and try something else!

Our server was on point with the food and drinks that were ordered! Great service great staff and very cool vibe! Taco Tuesday! So of course tacos were enjoyed! Edgar even let us sample possible future food items. Always a great experience!!

Two years ago, we moved from California to Virginia, we looked around for Mexican food that compared to California style. We tried different ones, and none came close till we tried Los Compadres the first month they opened. We were so excited to have salsa and the delicious beans. Their micheladas are the BEST!!! Their tripa tacos, sopes, ceviche tostada, and basically everything phenomenal. Their service is always great.

My go to Mexican food spot in 757. I don't live in Hampton but I would go here to fix my craving. All Mexican food is NOT the same, but if you've ever been to San Diego this is pretty close. I've been here a few times and each time the quality of service and food is great! The drinks could be a little stronger (personal preference) but they are still good. I ordered the organic margarita because I don't like the store bought mixers and it didn't disappoint. They also stated selling the flight margaritas (as pictured) and they were all delicious! For food, This last time we ordered the guacamole (with jalapeños), carne asada fries, Birria quesadilla and the flautas (didn't get a chance to take a picture of everything) and they DID NOT MISS!! Highly recommend you try this establishment out!

Pretty good lunch! Service was kind I didn't love the chips and salsa but the chili rellano was boss. A bit overpriced but very good

From the outside this place seems light and cheery. Murals of Selena and angel wings line the side of the building by the entrance. A Frida Khalo painting hangs in the small foy Love the atmosphere here, dining area has large benches/booths with tufted backs. Colorful fiesta streamers hung on the ceiling and Latin dance music playing over the sound system. You easily see that this place caters to various palates, young old, locals and tourists. I ordered the horchata and birria quesadilla. Horchata was served in a large mug, not too sweet and refreshing. Consommé for the birria quesadilla was good (there is another taco place in Newport News with slightly better consommé). Overall a 4 star experience.

First time trying this place! We really enjoyed ourselves. They have a huge menu with a whole side devoted to seafood options. I think it's really helpful they have the "what does it mean" section to help those who aren't familiar with Spanish/ or popular dishes. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and it was delicious! I would have liked to have something fresh alongside - like some guac, onions or sour cream. Next time I'll prob request something. My husband picked three tacos and enjoyed them. His favorite was the chorizo. We had a friend recommend ordering "chicken and rice," I didn't see it on the menu but sounds like it's an option. The margs are awesome! And a large is a big serving! The mason jars they are served in are a nice touch. No photos because we dove right in! We expect to be back soon!

I've been here twice already and plan on going again and again as it's quite close to my home. The folks working are very friendly and accommodating and the food was really good both trips. The restaurant is clean and there's plenty parking for the smaller size dining area. The little greeter is fun too (see pic) although pretty sure he's a volunteer. My favorites so far are the fajitas and the guacamole dip but worth noting are the home made corn tortillas and the home made hot sauces (ask for them, they're not on the table). The standard chips and salsa come with bean dip too and I also love that the tacos are à la carte so you can mix and match. I'll be trying more of the menu over time and am anxiously waiting for the opening of the drive thru pick up window for carry out; it's reportedly "coming soon". Check this place out for yourself, it doesn't have much of a view but it's pretty festive inside and the food is extra good.

This restaurant just opened up not too long ago. Of course we had to try it out. We parked on the side walked in and seated instantly. The booths were very comfortable. The staff were extremely nice and always made sure we were taking care of. Our drinks are always filled. The chips, queso and guacamole were my absolute favorite . My daughter raved about her steak quesadilla. The burrito was enough to feed you for the next day. If you wanted to us was a little more authentic Mexican cuisine. All of our food came out nice and hot. we do plan to visit again and try more items on the menu. The menu is pretty extensive.
